Dynamic Routing Circuit for Expandable
Cellular Arrays

RFT-246

Scientists at North Dakota State University have developed a dynamic routing circuit for a cellular array which automatically reconfigures the routing path for internal data as the size and shape of the array changes.  Each cell in the array follows a set of rules that will determine the routing path based on the presence or absence of neighboring cells.  As new rows or columns of cells are added to the array, the routing path is automatically changed to include the newly added cells.
