Linear Feedback Shift Registers

RFT-121

Low power dissipation is critical in today’s integrated circuit designs. Components which are frequently used in design, such as linear feedback shift registers (LFSRs), should consume as little power as possible.  Scientists at NDSU have developed an innovative new parallel architecture for LFSRs which significantly reduces power dissipation, simplifies the design process for output generation, and eliminates hardware components.
