Snow Lace® Gray Dogwood -- Cornus racemosa ‘Emerald’

RFM-25

Dense, shrub, emerald-green foliage

Description

This seedling selection has superior emerald-green, semi-glossy foliage and a very dense form. It grows somewhat slower than is typical of the species, averaging six inches a year, under dryland conditions in North Dakota. It produces a distinctly mound-like to rounded growth habit, gradually reaching a height of seven to nine feet. Its profusely borne white flowers and drupes, as well as colorful rosy-pink pedicels contrasting with its silvery-gray stems, combine to produce an attractive landscape shrub.   Available in commercial nursery trade.  Reaches semi-mature height in 15 to 18 years.  Hardy in USDA Zone 3.
