ND291

A yellow-dent maize inbred line developed at North Dakota State University, ND291 was released February 15, 2002, because of its potential value as germplasm source in pedigree-selection breeding programs for the northern Corn Belt.    ND291 is a vigorous line with above average seedling emergence percentage in cold soils.  It has a medium, green plant color and plants have a tendency to develop more than one ear.
