'ND Eagle' was released from the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station in 2016. The North Dakota Crop Improvement and Seed Association (NDCISA) has a license agreement with the NDSU Research Foundation to produce and distribute ND Eagle seed. ND Eagle is an Eston-type small green lentil. ND Eagle has high yield potential in North Dakota environments based on 2011-2017 NDSU lentil trial results.
